Wagon Transportation
Railway transportation has added life to the sector as an alternative shipment method in Russia and CIS Countries. The cargo picked up by our TIRs from any point in Turkey is loaded on to 68 –ton capacity wagons of 120 m3 after being brought to the connection site in Georgia-Batum. The wagons after being loaded at this connection site are either shipped to Aktau Port (Kazakhstan) or Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan) via railway over Georgia based on their destinations. These wagons first reach Azerbaijan port before heading to their destinations from Baku port over Caspian Sea.
In wagon shipments, the type, size, per palette weight, customs tariff number of the cargo are the determinants of the freight charges. It is important that the entire information regarding the cargo is relayed to our related unit along with the reservation to ensure that the wagons are loaded as desired. This type of shipment could prove to be advantageous where heavy tonnage, small volume cargo is concerned.
